Scott Weiland ends bitter feud with former bandmates!
Scott Weiland has revealed to Kerrang! that he’s finally managed to put Velvet Revolver behind him and is looking forward to a bright new future with reunited grunge legends Stone Temple Pilots.

Scott had been involved in a bitter war of words via the internet with his ex-VR bandmates – guitarists Slash and Dave Kushner, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum – since walking out on the rock supergroup in March 2008. Now the frontman says he wishes nothing but the best for his former colleagues.
“It was a great experience until near the end,” he told K!. “I think we made some great music – and I actually prefer our second album to our first – and I don’t hold any resentment towards any of the guys in the band. I really wish them all the best.”
Scott says that reconnecting with his former Stone Temple Pilots bandmates – guitaitst Dean DeLeo, his bassist brother Robert and drummer Eric Kretz – shortly after his split with Velvet Revolver has helped him to move on with his life.
“I always kinda felt like our story wasn’t over and we still had more music to contribute,” he says. “So when I got a call from Dean saying we got offered a few summer festivals I said, ‘Count me in!’. Ever since the first rehearsal, it felt like coming home.”
